A Center for Community
The Project isn't a daycare—it's a center for community. It's a welcoming space for families to connect, relax, and support local projects. Drop by anytime, with no service hours required. However, service hours may be accumulated and exchanged for access to The Creative Space.
Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult for safety and comfort.

Our Journey & Future
Founding in 2016
Founded in 2016, For His Families, Inc. was born from a calling to serve and heal families in our community. Initially focusing on foster and juvenile justice-involved families, we've learned that every family benefits from support, connection, and love.
2020
In 2020, we launched THE PROJECT—a new initiative to strengthen families through community events, activities, and support.
2023
In 2023, The Project moved to a larger space to better serve our growing families, though space remained a challenge.
Looking Ahead 2026
After a dedicated journey, our new building in Crystal City is underway. Expected completion is fall 2026, bringing new opportunities to serve our community.
Service Hours & Community Impact
Our volunteers give their time and energy to positively impact our community. In addition to the joy and intrinsic rewards of serving others, the volunteers also have fun tracking their service hours and following their progress in quarterly individual and team contests.
